About Me...
With more than 25 years in dentistry, I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredible dentists and oral surgeons, assisting in thousands of procedures that gave me a deep understanding of patient care and the denture process.
In 2022, I took a leap of faith and returned to school full-time to earn my Denturist license. Since then, I’ve worked side-by-side with dentists and oral surgeons on implant surgeries and immediate dentures, further expanding my knowledge and passion for this field.
I love the artistry of dentures—re-creating smiles people have lost and restoring both function and confidence. Every denture is a unique blend of science and craftsmanship, and I take pride in getting it just right.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my three grown children and my partner, Chris. Whether we’re camping, biking, paddleboarding, or just watching a good movie, I value every moment together.

Immediate dentures are made before your teeth are removed, so we’re essentially guessing what your bone and tissue will look like after surgery. Because of that, they don’t always fit perfectly at first. As your mouth heals, adjustments and soft liners help improve the fit until you’re ready for your permanent dentures.
They’re made thicker on the outside so that if adjustments are needed on the inside, the denture doesn’t get too thin or risk breaking. That bulkiness is temporary and can be corrected when you have your permanent reline or when your new dentures are made.
Temporary (or immediate) dentures are placed the same day teeth are removed. They help with healing and appearance, but they don’t always fit perfectly because the bone and tissue are still changing. Permanent dentures are made after healing, when your mouth has settled, so they fit much more comfortably.
Most people need about six months of healing before moving to permanent dentures. That’s because most of the bone and tissue changes happen in the first six months. Doing them too early can cause them to loosen quickly and require more relines.
For the upper arch, most dentists recommend at least four standard implants for stability. On the lower, at least two standard implants are needed. If mini implants are used on the lower, usually four or five are recommended. Every patient’s needs are different, so the exact number depends on your bone, healing, and your dentist’s treatment plan.
During the first six months, most patients need a soft reline every few weeks to once a month to keep the denture fitting closely as the tissue and bone reshape.
Hydrogen peroxide can be used, but only if it’s diluted (one part peroxide to two parts water) and no more than two to three times a week. It’s not recommended for daily use. Salt water is usually a gentler option that can be used daily, especially during healing. Always check with your dentist before using either.
3D-printed dentures are faster and often less expensive to make, but in my opinion they don’t always look or function as natural as traditional dentures unless extra customization is done. Traditional dentures still offer more lifelike detail and durability.
It's up for debate BUT in my professional opinion it’s NOT recommended to sleep with your dentures in. Your gums and tissues need time to rest and recover, and leaving dentures in 24/7 can lead to irritation, sore spots, and even fungal infections like yeast overgrowth, which can make your dentures not fit due to inflammation.
